‘Each problem is a challenge’

Franklin Nasoeki doesn’t shrink from any technical problem, be it hardware or software. “As a DBA you handle both, that’s why I spotted the DBA specialization right from the start. Thing is, I’m very comfortable with both hardware and software. My computers and networking experience came in very handy.”

Love for ICT 

How did Franklin wind up at Qualogy? “I studied Electrotechnology at the Anton de Kom university in Suriname, with the Information Technology orientation. After that I worked at various companies, where I did all sorts of things: assemble and repair computer systems, set up Windows networks, provide computer advice, install and troubleshoot medical equipment and build an issue registration database in Access. But it became more and more clear that the love for ICT was a constant factor, and that’s why I finally choose for Qualogy Suriname.”

Was that the only reason? “No, also the people at Qualogy appealed to me. It is like one big family, very lively. Everyone is prepared to help one another. Very customer focused and customer friendly. In addition, innovation and quality are important spearheads.”

What does he do in his spare time? “I used to do a lot of jogging, volleyball and basketball, but the last few years I lacked the time. I just didn’t get around to it. Besides, I wanted to spend as much time as possible with my wife Eunice. We got married in 2008!”
