Senior Java Developer

The position
As Senior Java Developer you have a technical background with a clear overview of the ICT playing field. You can present the approach to solving ICT issues at multiple levels, both internally and externally. You work in teams or direct teams for various customer organizations.
The roles you should be able to fulfill in this position are System Developer, (Technical) Project Leader, Architect and Coach to guide both customers and consultants.

Your profile
You are a professional with a bachelor or university degree and at least five years of experience in the field of ICT and consultancy. You can show extensive technical experience with Java/Web technology. On top of that you are an experienced writer of tenders, consultancy reports and functional and technical designs, and you are well informed about the latest developments in your field of play.

Your competences

In addition to good analytical and problem-solving skills and the aforementioned advanced technical expertise and broad experience you also have a high sense of responsibility and perseverance. You have both a helicopter view and a keen eye for detail. As Senior Java Developer you have the talent to translate customer requirements into a functional and technical design, initiating projects correctly. Your communication skills, both orally and in writing, are excellent. To you, writing reports and meticulously recording data are a significant part of the job instead of a necessary evil. Your team members can always rely on you for advice and support, even in hectic times. Towards customers you are service oriented, closely involved with their ICT issues and proactively suggesting improvements.

Your technical skills

• Minimum experience of 5 years with Software Engineering in Java (jdk 1.5)
• Experienced in Java, JEE, XML, XSD, XPath, UML, GoF Design Patterns, JEE Design Patterns, SOA en SQL (queries en data modellering)
• Knowledge of Google WebToolkit (GWT) or Adobe Flex is a pre.
• Experienced in Web Applications in JEE/J2EE environments (Websphere, Oracle AS, JBoss, Tomcat)
• Known with SVN, Maven, Ant, Jira, Eclipse
